I grew up in a small town in New Mexico fishing for rainbow trout in little streams every chance I got. I was introduced to fly fishing about 15 years ago and was instantly hooked. It is the next level to fishing and I love everything from learning about insects to tying my own flies. The fly cast is much like a golf swing that you are forever improving upon and are playing against yourself as much as you are trying to beat the fish. Fishing for me is like the ultimate puzzle to solve with so many variables. The rush that happens when everything comes together and I feel the distinctive tug, see the line stretch and rod bend is a feeling I will chase for the rest of my life. Providing someone else the opportunity to experience the same rush is just as rewarding. I really enjoy being on the water with those who share my passion for fishing. Fishing focuses the mind and calms the nerves. It makes the problems of the day melt away with perpetual instances of hope that the next cast is the big fish. So, let's go fishing!
